Search for and Assign an ISNI to an Individual Participant

In MétaMusique, go to “My Profile” and select “Participants and Roles,” then click on the participant for whom you want to search for an ISNI.

  • Before conducting your ISNI search in your participant profile, make sure you have assigned all relevant roles and provided all the required identifiers in each of these roles, including your stage or pen names. Examples: In your performer role, you are required to provide your IPN. In your role as a songwriter/composer/publisher, you are required to provide your IPI.
  • Once the roles are added, ensure you provide all aliases that may have been attributed to you in the past. Minor variations in the spelling of your artist name can affect the results of your ISNI search.
  • In the ISNI section, click on “Search for my ISNI,” leading you to
  • At the bottom of the page, you will find the ISNIs already assigned to you. On the right side of your screen, click on the black arrow to learn more about the selected ISNI. If you recognize your titles, click on the next box: “Ce n’est pas moi” and select “Global Participant.”
  • It is possible that multiple ISNIs have been assigned to you for one or more of your public identities. Repeat the process for all ISNIs that could be yours.
