Title: Search/Assign an ISNI to a Participant (Individual or Company)

In MétaMusique, follow these steps to search for your ISNI:

  • Access “My Profile.”
  • Choose either “Participants and Roles” or “Companies and Roles.”
  • At the bottom of the page, click on the participant or company for which you want to perform an ISNI search.

Before initiating your ISNI search in your participant profile, make sure you have completed the following actions:

  • Assign yourself all the roles that apply to you.
  • Provide all the required identifiers for each role, such as your IPN as a performer and your IPI as a songwriter/composer/publisher.
  • Remember to provide all aliases that may have been attributed to you in the past, as slight variations in the spelling of your artist name can influence ISNI search results.

In the ISNI section “Participant Details,” follow these steps:

  • Click on “Search for my ISNI.”
  • At the bottom of the page, review the ISNIs already assigned to you.
  • On the right side of your screen, click on the black arrow to learn more about the selected ISNI.
  • If you recognize your titles, click on the next box and select “Global Participant.”

It is possible that multiple ISNIs have been assigned to you for one or more of your public identities. Repeat these steps for all ISNIs that could be yours.

For each ISNI belonging to you, choose the “Global Participant” option if appropriate.
