The Interested Parties Information Code (IPI) is the unique code that identifies authors and publishers.

What is an IPI?

The Interested Parties Information Code (IPI) is a proprietary identifier under CISAC, but administered by the Swiss collective SUISA on a subcontracting basis.

For whom?

It is used to identify authors and publishers.

In MétaMusique

If you are an author or represent a publishing company, your IPI code will be requested when adding your roles

By providing your IPI, you will be able to import your SOCAN catalog (linked with the tutorial “Importing your SOCAN catalog”)

Advice

It is recommended to visit your profile on your collective’s website [SOCAN, SACEM, etc.] to retrieve your IPI and use it in your subsequent communications and indexing work.
